Oh my goodness, I am almost 20 years old! I went home to my family to celebrate easter (none of us were able to go on actual easter, but we had a lot of traditions we still wanted to do). I ended up also making my birthday cake as well. It is just so soon, I feel so nervous, part of me feels like I need to take things more seriously. But for the meantime, lobster cake. (I've never had lobster before)

I made some shortbread and tiramasu for me and my friends' tea party! It was super fun, and the tea was great. Though we should have thought more about the thermal physics concepts prior to putting hot tea in a cold glass jar... it shattered. Listen, it wasn't on our minds at all! We just wanted tea. Anywho. The shortbread recipie? Yeah, I have no clue what it is. I've just been putting things in a bowl and mixing and hoping for the best. This is the same "recipie" I use at coffee cookie time as well; hopes and dreams.

My sister got me a sushi making kit years ago, and I never used it until I went home to Orlando to be with my mother for a weekend. We ended up making some sushi though and it was super good. Thus, I brought it back with me to college and I made some the other day. :)

I made some tiramasu for me and my friend! She came over and we watched The Princess Bride. Good movie, and really good paired with tiramasu.

I baked french macarons for a biophysics holiday party I was invited to. Everyone loved them! The professor hosting the party said that I will be a good experimentalist based on my baking endeavors, which I found quite funny. Below is a picture of the macarons I made (vanilla shells with dark chocolate ganache) as well as a picture of me dressed for the party.

I made sugar cookies for the SPS cookie decorating CCT! I use my Mothers recipie in "The Falling Apart Cookbook," a staple cookbook in my childhood (it is a binder which is fallign apart, but thats where all of the good recipes are). Shoutout to Ethan for letting me comendere his kitchen and also to Dr. Biswas for introducing me to putting cool whip on the cookies because it is actually quite good, I never wouldv'e thought to do that.

I made homemade tiramasu for my mother. I make the ladyfingers from scratch as well because I don't feel like buying them. It was really good! My mother enjoyed it a lot and so did I. I've just started making tiramasu, but its so good and its defintly been a very frequent treat of mine. Suprisingly easy considering what people sell it for, though I suppose a lot of it goes to the marscapone cheese.
